Hello, my name is Shannon Self, and I would like to introduce myself and Intrinsic RCM Solutions LLC. A few years ago, I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to work for a company specializing in behavioral health administration. I leaned on decades of customer service experience, office management and business operations skills, and my time working for a major health carrier as I transitioned into my new role. As I began posting payments, verifying adjustments, chasing denials, and resubmitting corrected claims, it ignited a passion to excel. I found myself investigating, identifying issues, and executing results—and I was enjoying my professional life. I became a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), completed their Certified Professional Biller program, passed my national certification in 2025, and completed a course in Behavioral Health Coding.
Upon completing that portion of my education and gaining firsthand experience, I recognized that as outsourced medical billing continues to grow, behavioral health treatment remains at statistical highs, and payer challenges continue to rise, many workflows lack the efficiency necessary to protect revenue integrity. Revenue integrity can only be achieved when you eliminate the cracks that allow leakage.
